Professional Development Workshop

at our Spruce Knob Mountain Center in Circleville, WV

This year's AWSM workshop includes:

Frameworks that work! Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences and U.S. Green Ribbon Schools (Peter M. Mecca and Vicki Fenwick-Judy)
How to implement a stream study using Save our Streams citizen-science protocols (Glenn Nelson)
Project Learning Tree training and curriculum (Linda Carnell)
Optional caving in the Sinks of Gandy, exploring Spruce Knob, astronomy, and more!

Workshop details:

Cost is $300 and includes room, board and materials.

Scholarships are available for WV educators.

Guests (spouse, children, friend, etc) are invited to attend for the discounted rate of $50/person.

3 continuing education graduate credit hours are available through Marshall University for an additional $365.

Please list any allergies, including dietary restrictions (food allergies, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, etc.) We always have vegetarian options and will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please be specific and include information for any guests as well. If you are bringing an Epipen, please bring two, as well as the appropriate dose of oral Benadryl due to our remote location.

Please list any guests who will be coming with you. (A guest is anyone who will be coming with you to the Spruce Knob Mountain Center who will not be participating in the workshop sessions. Spouses, children, BFF's are welcome! Cost is $50 to cover meals. Space is limited so apply early)
