Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Nomination

To nominate someone for induction into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, please fill out and submit this form. Your nominee must meet all the criteria for their category (adult Hall of Fame or Youth Award)

Hall of Fame Criteria
  • No self nominations
  • Identifies as Jewish or has been involved in Jewish community sports
  • Has strong ties to the Greater Hartford area (towns served by the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford)
  • Has had significant impact, attained prominence and/or had notable achievements as an athlete, coach, manager, agent, official, owner, writer, broadcaster or in another sports-related occupation
  • Has demonstrated excellence in leadership, sportsmanship, integrity and character
  • May be living or deceased
Dr. Morris Cohen Youth Sports Award Criteria
  • Identifies as Jewish or has been involved in Jewish community sports
  • A member of the high school graduating class of the current year
  • Lives in one of the towns served by the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford
  • Has achieved excellence and/or made a positive impact in sports
  • Demontrates leadership, sportsmanship, integrity and character

We encourage up to three (3) additional letters of recommendation from administrators, counselors, teachers, coaches or clergy. Please send these with subject JSHOF-Youth to jhsgh@jewishhartford.org

Family members may not submit letters of support for youth award.

What makes this person a candidate for the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame or Youth Award? If the person is not Jewish, how did their involvement have a positive effect on the Jewish community? Please review the criteria that nominees must meet (above). Nominees who do not meet them will not be considered.
