Introduction to the Story

What is a story, really? How do you create something satisfying at short lengths? We'll cover practical steps toward corralling your ideas into a complete concept with beginning, middle, and end, and what to do with it once you've written it! From idea to sweet, sweet cash.

Instructor: Marie Vibbert has sold over 80 short stories to magazines like NatureAmazing Stories, and Analog.  Her work has been translated into French, Chinese and Vietnamese. Her debut novel, Galactic Hellcats, was on the long list of best novels for the British Science Fiction Association for 2021, and her second novel comes out September 2022!  By day she is a computer programmer. Class issues come up often in her work. She grew up below the poverty line.
