9/30/23 Trail Day at Red Brook Trail Network

In consideration of permission to participate in events and volunteer opportunities of The Wareham Land Trust and TerraCorps (referred to afterward as The Organizations): A. I fully understand and acknowledge that outdoor activities have inherent risks, dangers, and hazards and such hazards may exist during my participation. B. Participation in such activities may result in injury or illness and I hereby assume all risks, dangers, and responsibility for any losses or damages, whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the officers, staff, or agents of The Organizations, the negligence of the participants, the negligence of others, accidents, the forces of nature, or other causes. C. I voluntarily agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify The Organizations and their officers, staff, and agents from all claims, actions, or losses for bodily injury, property damage, or otherwise, which may arise out of my participation in The Organizations' activities. I have read the above waiver and release, and by signing it agree. It is my intention to exempt and relieve The Organizations from liability for personal injury, property damage, or otherwise caused by negligence or any other cause.

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. I further acknowledge that The Organizations have put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I further acknowledge that The Organizations cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with COVID-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending events held by The Organizations. I attest that: • I am not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell. • I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of COVID-19. • I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities. • I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I have read the above waiver and release, and by signing it agree. It is my intention to exempt and relieve The Organizations from liability associated with COVID-19.
