One moment please...

One Mic Open: Poetry Slam

Get ready for the return of the One Mic Open Poetry Slam Series!

One Mic Open is a free, online monthly event open to all age performers and forms of poetry. In order to accommodate as many people as possible, the limit for each performer is one piece/poem or 5 mins. on the "mic," whichever is finished first. The topics and themes covered in the poetry will vary and will not be censored, so trigger warnings are encouraged.

You do not have to attend the One Mic Open: Poetry Performance Workshops in order to participate in the poetry slams.

We cannot wait to hear your work and share (virtual) space with you!

Instructor: Eric Odum is a Libra, poet, brother, lover and friend. He works in the nonprofits arts field in Cleveland, OH as a way to nurture and amplify the voices of communities and neighborhoods that are often forgotten or silenced. He is the creator of the One Mic Open Poetry Slam. He is also in the process of bringing his second collection of poems and essays to completion, titled The Stars We Call Home.

Details: One Mic Open: Poetry Slam takes place Thursdays, October 21 and November 18 from 6:30pm-8:00pm online through Zoom.
