Campfires are only permitted when the Maine Forest Service Wildfire Danger Reports lists Region 7 fire risk as "Moderate" or "Low."

View report here. Please monitor this report daily.

I understand that camping in the Wildlands is a wilderness camping experience, and that access to assistance may be delayed due to the remote location. Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust has provided me with a copy of the Camping Policy. I have read and understand it and I release and hold GPMCT harmless with respect to any accident or injury that may occur while I am in the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands. I agree to abide by Leave No Trace Principles.
