Red Clay Dance Company is excited to request applications for Teaching Artivists to join our Education Department. Our Search is for dance artists who combine high skill with innovative execution to provide quality educational experiences to our program participants. This role is a unique opportunity to join a trendsetting, culturally relevant, socially transforming, elite dance organization in the Chicagoland area. This position works within our Community Engagement, Education, Partnership (CEEP) Programs.
School Residency Programs - In-School or After School dance instruction in public and private K-12 schools.
Community Partnerships - Group dance instruction offered at non-school-based partnerships.
All program types will require the flexibility to provide instruction in-person and/or via remote learning.

Making the Artivist
An artistic apprenticeshps program designed to train participants in social justice art-making. The project-based learning model uses the mediums of movement and storytelling to create a space where the social justice art-making process is identified and practiced. The program is offered onsite at Red Clay Dance Company's Studios.
