Please join us for our Spawner Survey Workshop to learn to identify the different species of salmon and conduct spawner surveys.
Volunteers will walk their stream site weekly from October to late December/early January, documenting the number of returing salmon in the Skagit and Samish watershed and report their findings to Skagit Fisheries.
The classroom portion of the workshop is VIA ZOOM on Thursday, September 26 from 6pm-8pm.
The field portion is occurring IN PERSON Saturday, September 28 from 9am-Noon at Northern State Recreation Area in Sedro-Woolley.
New volunteers are required to attend BOTH the classroom and field portions of the workshop. Returning volunteers are required to attend the field portion only, but are highly encouraged to attend the classroom portion as well.
