We are honored and excited to, once again, serve the students on your campus! We look forward to the opportunity to provide each of your students with 6 free books to take home this year, as we continue to build home libraries for the children on your campus!
Books Between Kids volunteers will spend thousands of hours this year making it possible for us to bring these books to your school, but the final step largely depends on your school’s plan to put these books into the children’s hands and to make the book celebration a meaningful experience. Successful participation in the Books Between Kids program requires significant involvement on your school’s part, and principals will delegate two staff/faculty members to serve liaisons to BBK and to organize the book celebration.
Selecting coordinators to plan and implement your Book Celebration and to serve as the liaison between Books Between Kids and your campus is a crucial part to holding a successful Book Celebration. Coordinators should be a librarian, Community in Schools representative, reading specialist, or other staff/faculty member that is familiar with literacy and children’s literature. The coordinators should also have the organizational skills, passion, creativity, leadership, and time to plan and implement the Book Celebration.
**This MUST be someone different than Coordinator #1!**
