Heart & Chutzpah 5783: What We Water Grows!

Kadima Reconstructionist Community presents Heart and Chutzpah 5783: "What We Water Grows," a celebration and fundraising event on Sunday April 30th, from 5-8pm (doors open at 5, both onsite and on Zoom).

Our theme this year is “What We Water Grows”. We envision this intention as a collective recommitment to dreaming and building the world that we want to be a part of, create for each other and give forward. Like gardeners, we invest attention, intention and resources to cultivate our desired outcomes.

We encourage all who consider themselves Kadima community to attend no matter if you can donate beyond your ticket price. While the goal of Heart & Chutzpah is to raise $50,000 to help sustain Kadima through this next year, we also see it as a community celebration of our connectedness, uniqueness, magic and strength.

This is our first year doing a hybrid event for Heart & Chutzpah! We are excited to be able to offer both options, and are committed to full participation for our remote participants. The biggest difference is that onsite participants will be provided a meal, whereas online participants will provide their own meal.

Donation - Water the Kadima Garden!

Kadima is a home, a source of solace, a point of connection for so many. We go to Kadima to recharge and ready ourselves for the outside world. By investing our attention, resources and energy in Kadima we are investing in this community and its future. We are co-creating the structures needed for it to root, grow and flourish so that it may continue to feed us in turn. This recommitment serves our community today as well as the youth who will, in time, tend Kadima's growth and renew it with their vision in the future.

With this re-enlivened shared intention, we ask that you help by donating to the continued seedlings, sprouts and blooms of the Kadima community, with a sustaining Kadima one time donation.

Please choose an amount from the list below for specific examples of your donation's impact, or feel free to write in a specific amount of your choosing! Please note that this donation is in addition the amount you have chosen for your ticket price (if you are attending).

$5,400 - Funds this year's High Holidays event costs in entirety!

$3,600 - Covers the monthly cost of staff health insurance!

$1,800 - Pays for one month of space rental for Shabbat school, storage, and classes!

$720 - Feeds one month of Shabbat community lunches!

$360 - Helps pay for Congregational gifts to b'mitzvah students upon their graduation!

$108 - Represents one month of tzedakah that Kadima sends to Real Rent Duwamish!
