The Cloud Forest Organics reforestation and research project is developing viable alternatives to continued deforestation through several actions: reproducing and planting native tree species, some with exotic fruits and nuts with commercial potential; monitoring wildlife response; studying emerging flora response; and testing of different reforestation techniques in steep terrain bordering the Cayambe Coca National Park.
