Picture Your World Weekend Workshop: Roosevelt Park/San Antonio River Mission Reach

PYW_Roosevelt.png--

Picture Your World workshops are for youth ages 8-18. The program will provide: cameras to borrow for those participants needing one, professional instruction, and guided hike with a Master Naturalist.

Overlooking a bend in the San Antonio River along the Mission Reach, Roosevelt Park was once used as a training ground for President Theodore Roosevelt’s Rough Riders in 1898. The site was later designed and designated as a park in 1908. Meeting location is the Roosevelt Park Clubhouse. Thanks to the generosity of the San Antonio River Authority, this workshop is free. Space is limited. Advance registration required. For questions, please contact Carra Garza at carra@greensatx.org.
