Make the best of the winter by learning how to build your own wheels in the comfort of your home during four weekday sessions, every Tuesday and Thursday, on 2/16, 2/18, 2/23, and 2/25 from 6 – 9 PM.
Students are welcome to keep their wheels or donate them back to Bike Works for redistribution. All tools and wheel building supplies must be returned at the end of the classes.
Registered students will receive all supplies for their classes delivered to their homes if they live in the 98108, 98118, 98144, 98168, and 98178 zip codes – if you do not live in these zip codes, you will need to pick up the supplies (Wheel Parts/Truing Stand/Tools) the week before classes start. We will provide class supplies if you are donating your wheel back to Bike Works. If you would like to buy supplies from the bike shop to build your own set of wheels please call us as soon as you register!
Price is pay-what-you-can. Suggested tuition of $120, or $175 “pay-it-forward” to support another student (see Class Tuition section below).
This is an advanced level class. We recommend some experience working with tools and/or on bikes, but welcome people of all backgrounds and abilities.
