Open to all musicians who have not completed their senior year of high school at the time of the competition and whose primary residence is withing 10 miles of Oak Park.
The winner performs with us at 4 pm on Sunday, May 12, 2019 and receives a $500 cash prize.
Contestants must submit a recording of their playing (5-10 minutes) with their application. Professional recording quality is not required. An excerpt from the concerto to be performed in the competition may be submitted (with or without accompaniment), or a solo piece or pieces may be recorded.
Application fee: $25 to be submitted with the application. Deadline: midnight February 16, 2019
Finalists will perform one movement of any solo concerto of their choice (standard repertory only, please). You must provide an accompanist at the competition. You do not need to provide the judges with a copy of your music. Please wear concert black to your audition.
