The Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative (PAREI) is running a fundraising campaign to relocate our headquarters to the West Wing of the old Brimstone Office Building at the corner of Rte 3/Fairgrounds Rd in Plymouth, NH creating a new community site anchoring PAREI’s many and expanding programs, services, and events.
PAREI envisions this site and the new office space as a long-term community resource center supporting PAREI’s community-driven solutions for energy education, solar energy, and local food sourcing. We recently compled Phase One of the Vision 2030 campaign. In less than four months, with the assistance of over 117 donors, volunteer carpenters and workers, we built a timber-framed pavilion for easier farmer drop-off and buyer pick-up of Local Foods Plymouth (LFP) purchases as well as facilitating our Farm to Community Food Share Program.
Now, we are moving on to Phase Two, the interior rennovation of the building that includes energy efficient heatpumps, an accessible bathroom, new flooring, efficient light fixtures and insulation. After that, the goal is to install solar PV panels on the office as well as the Local Foods Pavilion so our buildings are Net Zero Energy!
