Red Clay Dance Company encourages the participation of volunteers who support our Mission. Red Clay Dance Company lives to awaken "glocal" change through creating, performing, and teaching dances of the African Diaspora - change that transforms cultural and socio-economic inequities in our local and global community" If you agree with our mission and are willing to be interviewed and trained in our procedures, we encourage you to complete this application. The information on this form will be kept confidential and will help us find the most satisfying and appropriate volunteer opportunity for you. Thank you for your interest in our organization. NOTE: Promptness is essential to the success of the project/event in which you are assigned. All volunteers are required to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Exceptions may be made with advance notification to the Volunteer Coordinator. Child Abuse

We make an active effort to prevent child abuse, which may include but not limited to the following: A Background Check and References from past employers and volunteer organizations. When practical, volunteers should not put themselves in a position in which they are alone with a single child and cannot be observed by others. Allegations or suspicions of child abuse are taken seriously and are reported to police and/or state agencies for investigation. Participant Confidentiality Volunteers are required to keep the name of student and families in our program's confidential. I have been informed of Red Clay Dance Company's position regarding child abuse and have read and understand that portion of my Volunteer Application and Agreement titles Red Clay Dance Company Position on the Nationwide Problem of Child Abuse. I understand that in addition to the state mandate. Red Clay Dance Company will, among other things conduct a thorough check of my Background. I understand that allegations or suspicions of child abuse are taken seriously by Red Clay Dance Company and will be reported to police and/or state agencies for investigation and Red Clay Dance will fully cooperate with any related investigations and will pursue the prosecution of child abusers to the fullest extent screening.
