2019-2020 Lead: Code School Year Program
Who owns the internet? Who is behind the technology that you use every day? And what does it mean to be a creator of technology? In Y-WE Code, young women ages 13-18 explore ways to use technology tools for learning, career success, self-expression, social change and the history of women in technology. Within an intergenerational community of diverse youth and adult women mentors, we will get hands-on with coding and digital technology, develop college and career readiness, explore ways that we can keep growing creativity through technology, grow as leaders and discover ways we can use technology to make a difference, and practice different methods of project management. This Y-WE Lead Learning Community will meet at El Centro de la Raza two Tuesdays a month throughout the school year.
Please note: This application is for CODE 2019-2020!
LEAD Code 2019-2020: October 15 - June 6, two Tuesdays a month.
Upon completion of this application, you will be contacted by a Y-WE staff member to set-up an interview.
