Keep Moving: 5 Stories in 6 Weeks

Generate five new stories in just six weeks with a class designed to kick your writing into gear. Each week we'll share our writing, find inspiration in published stories, and respond to in-class exercises to get going on the next piece. Throughout the class we'll discuss craft, experiment with new forms, play with language and story, and find out what sparks our process. All genres of fiction are welcome.

Instructor: Matt Weinkam is a writer, editor, and instructor with published work in Denver Quarterly, Sonora Review, New South, DIAGRAM, and Electric Literature. He holds an MA in creative writing from Miami University, an MFA in fiction from Northern Michigan University, and he has taught creative writing as far away as Sun Yat-sen University in Zhuhai, China. Matt is a founding editor of Threadcount Magazine, and he helped create Gordon Square Review literary journal where he was the prose editor from 2017-2020. He is currently the executive director of Literary Cleveland.

Details: Keep Moving: 5 Stories in 6 Weeks takes place Mondays January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, & February 7 from 7-9pm remotely through Zoom.
