Forgetting Form: Craft & Generative Workshop

In this series of workshops, participants will learn how to write rebelliously. They will break the rules of form while learning how to use the entire page like a canvas. These workshops examine the process of play when considering the usage of white space on the page. Build up tension in the pause, create a dance for the reader’s eyes to follow. Participants will read and discuss example poems by contemporary writers, as well as respond to prompts that encourage “page play.”

Instructor: Stephanie Ginese is a writer & wannabe comedian from South Lorain, Ohio. She is the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother & an Italian immigrant father. She currently lives in Cleveland, by the lake, with her two children. Unto Dogs is her debut book of poetry.

Details: Forgetting Form: Craft & Generative Workshop takes place Tuesdays October 11, October 18, October 25, and November 1 from 7-8:30pm remotely through Zoom.
