MCEDSV Creating Safer Neighborhoods Gathering - Registration is Free!

Registration is free for this event and information about scholarship support for travel expenses is included below!

Meals: Meals are not provided at the training, however a hot, deluxe breakfast is included for overnights guests of the Comfort Inn Okemos. Ample breaks are scheduled for attendees to have lunch, and there are many restaurant and convenient snack options within a half mile of the event space and hotel.

Lodging: A discounted room block for registered attendees of MCEDSV's training is secured at the: Comfort Inn Okemos, 2187 University Park Dr., Okemos, MI 48864 (the hotel and Event Center are attached and share a parking lot.

Attendees are responsible for their own reservations, and we encourage you to secure rooms before the group block fills up or before the deadline.

The discounted group rate is $85.00/night + applicable taxes (single and double occupancy). The room block deadline is Friday, July 28, 2023.

Scholarship Opportunity for Travel Expenses

Scholarship for lodging and mileage may be requested by up to two (2) staff per agency. Each staff must be registered for the event and submit scholarship requests separately. *

One night of lodging may be requested by attendees travelling a minimum distance (from their agency) up to 65 miles one way. Two nights of lodging may be requested by attendees travelling a distance more than 65 miles one way. CONFIRMATION OF SCHOLARSHIP: MCEDSV will contact everyone who requests scholarship by email on or after Wednesday July 19 to confirm what supports are granted. If you register for the training after Wednesday July 19, you can expect to receive an email contact within 5 business days.
