Hosted by the Hip Hop Architect, Michael Ford and the Architecture Foundation of Oregon
Monday, January 17, 2022, 11am-1:30pm PST, Zoom
Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, 2022, for a virtual one-day design and hip hop event! Free and open to Oregon youth of color and allies, grades 7-12.
All youth will receive a free Hip Hop Architecture Bag with materials and swag items prior to the event. Youth will explore the world of architecture through the lens of hip hop culture and work with professionals in the field to build a "frozen music" city model based on hip hop lyrics. Students will be asked to continue working on their models after the Jan 17 event and can submit pictures of their work for a chance to win prizes!
Sign up by Friday, January 7, 2022 to participate. Space is limited.
