Mushrooms 101 with Amanda Moran
Tuesdays, March 21-April 11. 6-7 pm. This course is available live at Valentine Farm and online.
Over the course of 4 weeks, we will delve into the mysterious and colorful world of fungi! With her trademark good humor and expertise, Amanda will walk us through:
definitions and mushroom lingo
fungi's uses for so much more than just food
identification - size, shape, texture
mushroom family traits
learning mushrooms specific to western Maine
We will end the course with an identification challenge and a look at spore printing.
