It is time for school to begin! And we know the arts are an important part of a student's experience in school. Arts Education is a path to lifelong learning and knowledge of self and culture. It supports healthy social development and the quality of a young person’s life and prepares young people for success in the modern-day workplace.
Nebraskans for the Arts advocates for arts education by creating the narrative and sharing the powerful stories of excellence in the arts. NFTA sponsors the NebraskARTS award, given to two school districts that represent excellence in the fine and performing arts. NFTA also spotlights individual students who are making a difference through the arts and a new professional development program is being implemented to assist arts educators in building advocacy capacity and engagement.
