One moment please...

Theater of the Empowered!

Every other Thursday 4:30-6:30 February 24th - May 19th (most program days at Othello Commons - 4200 S Othello St, Seattle, WA 98118), PLUS three shows at the Seattle Repertory Theatre on March 11th, April 1st, and April 29th (6:30pm)

Creating a generative and supportive youth ensemble, we will express our creativity and passions through theater games and performance. Using Theatre of the Oppressed techniques, we will explore issues that are important to the participants, learn how to process as a community through theater, and practice using theater for positive social change. In addition to the Thursday workshops, participants will be invited to attend professional theatrical performances at Seattle Rep that include a pre-show reception exclusively for teens. Facilitated by Nabra Nelson, Y-WE mentor/volunteer and Director of Arts Engagement at the Seattle Rep Theatre.

If you have any needs or questions, contact Karisa (she/her) at karisa@y-we.org.
