Join us in supporting KAUL's 2024 Shoes for School event!

Your agency plays a vital role in ensuring that every child aged 5-12 has the shoes they need for the school year ahead.

Your agency can play a vital role by identifying families in need, ordering shoes for students, and distributing shoes at your location for those families unable to attend the event.

As a participating agency, you play a crucial role in identifying families in need, ordering shoes for students, and distributing them during the event or at your location for those unable to attend.

Participating agencies should promote the Shoes for School event to eligible families with children aged 5-12.

Event Details:

Date: August 3, 2024
Event Duration: 9:00 am-Noon
Location: Jacob Building - 3301 E Magnolia Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914

Day of Event:

Please arrive between 7:45 and 8:00 am to ensure your table is ready by 8:30 am.
Representatives must wear shirts with their organization's logo and name.
Family check-in process

Children must be present to receive shoes.
Match eligible children with the list of children receiving shoes.
Give the child a wristband.
Direct families to the shoe distribution stations.

Take the remaining shoes to your agency to distribute them to families that ordered shoes but could not pick them up at the event.

Day Before Volunteer Times

Volunteers will meet at Jacob's Building to prepare for the Shoes for School event, which involves assisting vendors, unloading supplies, and setting up booths.

August 2nd 8:00 am - 10:00 am

August 2nd 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

August 2nd 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

August 2nd 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

August 2nd 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
