SPECIAL GUEST, TONI BOND LEONARD

In 1994, Toni Bond Leonard was one of the 12 Black women who gave birth to the concept of “Reproductive Justice,” creating a paradigm shift in how women of color would add their collective voices to the fight for reproductive autonomy and freedom. Ms. Bond Leonard is a recognized leader and expert on the intersection of religion and reproductive justice.

"We must interrogate the motives of politicians and public officials who craft and implement public policies that they justify with religion. That is not democracy, but rather moves dangerously close to the realm of theocracy."
