House of Queer Intergenerational Housing Justice Conference Registration 2018

Thank you for registering for Allyship's 3rd Annual House of Queer: Intergenerational Housing Justice Conference at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 2nd Avenue South, Kent, WA 98032 from 10am to 3pm. 
 
The House of Queer Conference is free, includes food, and will center perspectives of and spaces for South King County LGBTQ residents, 2SQT people of color, renters across generations living on low incomes, and people who have experiences with houselessness. We will learn together from the past, situation ourselves in the present, and build toward a just future.
 
Date: December 1st, 2018
Time: 10:00am-3:00pm (registration opens at 10am)
Location: Kent Lutheran Church, 336 2nd Avenue South, Kent 98032 (free parking in front of church)
 
This conference will offer opportunities for trans, Two Spirit, and queer people most impacted by today's housing crisis to build and deepen relationships with each other and organize toward community-led solutions to housing injustices.
 
The conference will feature:
*A LGBTQ South King County Focus group discussing how residents are experiencing housing issues in S. King and come together around community-led housing solutions.
*LGBTQ Renter's Rights workshop

Transportation and Conference Accessibility

We want to make sure no one is turned away from the conference based on its location. If community members need a ride, we will do our best to match you with someone who can provide a ride. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee everyone transportation to the conference.

This is a collective effort! We'll definitely need volunteers to help with check-in, set-up, clean-up, and more.

*Bus Route in Kent are the 183, 914 and 916 to get near Kent Lutheran Church.
*ASL and/or Spanish language interpretation: let Venus Aoki know at venus@allyship.org by November 20th if you need interpreters. We will do our best to find community resources to bring interpreters, though this is not a guarantee.
*Please come fragrance free! We're asking participants to avoid wearing scented / fragranced products (e.g. perfume, hair products, essential oils) the day of the event in order to make the event accessible to those with chemical injury or multiple chemical sensitivity.
