Evanston In-School Music Association (EISMA) is a nonprofit arts and education organization dedicated to Inspiring Students, Supporting Local Musicians, and Connecting Community.
Over the past 50 years (aside from a forced 2.5 year pause when the COVID-19 quarantine closed in-person schooling), EISMA has presented two professional live music Concerts for Kids series each school year - one in the fall and and one in the spring - in 19 Evanston schools, to an audience of all Evanston District 65, Pope John XXIII, and St. Athanasius elementary and middle school students.
That adds up to 18 different performances of music to students in their schools throughout their kindergarten to 8th grade years. Students sample a full range of musical styles performed by varying combinations of instrumentation and genres, reflecting the traditions of many eras and cultures.
Performers bring the joy and appreciation of diverse musical experiences to students by sharing their musical insights, personal inspiration, and historical and cultural connections.
Your donation to EISMA is music to a child's ears. Thank you.
