This event is a cleanup of an old closed shooting site. There is a ton of trigger trash, litter and a lot of shell casings. We can use 20 people to get this area on the road to rehabilitation. Once we get this cleaned up its our hope that we can replant and rehabilitate this area at a later date. So spend part of the holidays giving the desert a present it deserves. Come cleanup with GreenUp!
Directions: From Phoenix take I-17 north to exit 223b / Hwy 74. Go west on Hwy 74 or 10.4 miles to Church camp Rd. You will see a sign before the exit. Turn right on Church Camp Rd and the event site will be on the left side 200 yards from turn off.
Please wear pants and boots (or at a minimum closed toed shoes) along with perferably long sleeves, reusable water bottle, and hat/sun screen for sun protection. Reminder you will be in the desert environment which will have stickers, bugs, and other natural species so it is imporant to dress appropriately. Gloves, safety vests, tools, and water will be provided.
*Volunteer waivers will be provided on site and will be required to complete before volunteering. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent or guardian's signature, pleaes let us know ahead of time if you need a copy of the youth waiver prior to the event.
