Activists and social entrepreneurs Aziz Abu-Sarah and Maoz Inon are at the forefront of a growing collaborative initiative of Palestinians and Israelis in the land. Just off organizing the biggest peace conference in Israel in 30 years and offering the closing remarks at the Netroots Nation Conference, together they are instigating a shift in vocabulary, coming from the lived experience in the region, to address the Israeli-Palestinian quagmire. Strategically, they are working to institutionalize unapologetic language of mutual equality, dignity and security, to serve as the core propelling any critical negotiations efforts.
Last weekend they held the largest peace gathering in Israel of the last thirty years. Together with 50+ Israeli and Palestinian civil society NGOs and thousands of attendees, they launched and led a major peace rally: “It’s Time!”.
Please join us at Judson Memorial Church on Sunday, July 14th at 7pm for this urgent conversation. Doors open at 6:45pm.
