Advancing a robust community-based life for people with disabilities is challenging in a world full of systemic barriers preventing people with disabilities from accessing integrated employment, life-long learning, high quality healthcare, and meaningful civic engagement. The disability community needs partners with and without disabilities if we are going to improve the good life for people with disabilities. And, the disability community needs to elevate, celebrate and promote what we mean by inclusion, equity and opportunity for ourselves.
