Parent, guardian and/or grandparent, and community member volunteers make a huge difference in the success of Hershey Montessori School.  We invited you to be a volunteer in your area of interest.  We've listed some of the biggest projects and ongoing opportunities to lend a hand. 
We know how busy you are and we appreciate any and all time that you can share with us.

To comply with Ohio state law, all volunteers who work directly with students (i.e. drivers, chaperones) must have a background check on file with the school.  This can be obtained from any Ohio Web Check location, including most license bureaus, for $30-$35.  If you have not lived in Ohio for the past 5 consecutive years you will need the Ohio BCI + FBI background check for approximately $65.  We also require current proof of auto insurance for drivers.  See the front office coordinator for more details.

Whole School Volunteer Opportunities

• The Hershey Cosmic Run! 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk (Saturday, Oct. 23 at Observatory Park):
  Join in as a volunteer for our 5K and 1 mile family walk or run, and help to make it a success.  There will be a variety of fun volunteer opportunities for this family friendly event before the run and the day of the event.  
• Hershey Spring Gala Event:
  Come and join a terrific and fun-loving group of parent volunteers to help with our biggest fundraiser of the year.  Promote any buisness you frequent with an addition from them to the Auction! Any level of participation is welcome, and there are several different committees that work together for the event.  This is a wonderful way to make a big difference for our school.
• Garden Care: Garden care during summer break
• Chaperone and/or Driver:for going outs for Elementary and Huntsburg students.
• Areas of Expertise/Interests: 
  Social Media, Computer Graphics and Design, Marketing, Photography, Arts and Crafts, Wood lot, or any other area in which you would like to share your talents.
• Specialist Presenter/Possible Feedback Panelist for Adolescent Projects and Classes: 
  Subject examples include; Ethnic/Cultural, the arts, Professional specialists.
