One Mic Open: Poetry Performance Workshop

Join us for a free online series of performance workshops, open to poets of all skill levels.

We'll watch and comment on video poetry performances, identifying what works and what we'd try differently. We'll then open the floor to poems from participants, giving everyone the chance to receive feedback and suggestions for your performances.

All you need to take part is an original poem, open mind, and a ready ear!

Participants can attend one, two, three, or all four workshop sessions. Sessions are capped at 10 participants each.

Instructor: Eric Odum is a Libra, poet, brother, lover and friend. He works in the nonprofits arts field in Cleveland, OH as a way to nurture and amplify the voices of communities and neighborhoods that are often forgotten or silenced. He is the creator of the One Mic Open Poetry Slam. He is also in the process of bringing his second collection of poems and essays to completion, titled The Stars We Call Home.

Details: One Mic Open: Poetry Performance Workshop takes place Thursdays, November 4 & 11 from 6:30pm-8:30pm online through Zoom.
