Land Stewardship
- Build and maintain trails
- Remove invasive plants
- Build and repair structures (signs, kiosks, etc.)
- Clean up litter and dumped debris
- Care for native plant gardens (weeding, trimming, etc.)
- Monitor properties and trails
- Inspect property boundaries for encroachment (mowing, clearing, dumping, etc.)
- Inventory properties for plants and wildlife
Fundraising & Development
- Implement membership activities
- Help with fundraising events
- Assemble mailings
- Perform data entry
- Write and update acknowledgement letter templates
Communications & Community Engagement
- Act as a Program Host for Walks and Talks (i.e. welcome participants, onsite registration, etc.)
- Greet the public as a conservation ambassador
- Develop or lead Walks and Talks in a specialized area of expertise
- Coordinate summer community festivals and/or tent volunteers (deliver tent/tables, recruit volunteers, etc.)
- Provide photography and/or video expertise for events, profiles, info shorts, etc.
- Assist with Tour de Barnstable (bike event in June)
- Research Projects (contact lists, historical backgrounders, etc.)
- Special Projects as available (i.e. trail cam monitoring, e-newsletter content projects, etc.)
- Special event support: Annual Meeting, Leadership Council, Tour de Barnstable, Volunteer Recognition (i.e. registration, parking, floral, etc.)
Administrative & General
- Perform clerical tasks
- Office handy-person projects (i.e. light assembly of office furniture, electronics, etc.)
