Class Title: Intro to Wheel Thrown Pottery II (Version D)
Class Description:For adults and teens age 16 and older
Intro to Wheel Throwing II offers students an opportunity to build upon wheel-throwing fundamentals and explore new forms and techniques. This eight-week class features instructor demonstrations, hands-on learning and available Open Studio time outside of regular scheduled classes. Demonstrations will include, pulling or attaching spouts to pouring vessels and altering forms with pleats and darts. Relationships between parts will be explored by combining multiple thrown forms and students will learn a technique for creating wheel-thrown lidded boxes. This class is suitable for a variety of skill levels, however previous experience with Intro to Wheel Throwing I or equivalent is required.
