Gardening through seasonal transitions is one of the more interesting parts of working with a landscape. Providing a good diversity of material can stretch fascination across seasons and connect them to each other. Join Del Brummet Head Gardener of the Elisabeth Miller Botanical Garden on a quest to investigate how the Dunn Garden achieves their seasonal transitions and what unique plants shine in the Summer to Fall Transition. He will also discuss tasks that are worth doing during the late summer to early fall transition.

Del Brummet is a horticulturist, hiker and educator with a strong interest in native plants of the west coast. He has worked in the Elisabeth Miller Botanical Garden for eight years and gained a great understanding and appreciation of the important of seasonal transitions. Del serves as a board member with Northwest Horticultural Society and contributes to its educational offerings regularly.

This class will be held in Ed's Cottage and we will be going out into the Gardens as well. Doors will open at 4:45pm and Del will begin at 5pm.
