GRIN2B Foundation is hosting its first GRIN2B Family Weekend at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare (Chicago) on July 15-16, 2022 (postponed from July 2020 & 2021). This is a new format for us, but based on the feedback we received after our 2018 Conference, this event will focus slightly less on science so that we can provide families with support and resources, as well as giving ample time for parents and their children to connect with families who understand their circumstances. We will also include basic information about GRIN2B, clinical trials, patient registries and updates from our Research grantees.

Cancellation Policy

As we need to provide the number of attendees to the hotel for catering, we can only refund cancellations made prior to 7/8.

Refunds for last minute cancellations due to sickness or exposure to Covid will be honored.

COVID Policy

We are monitoring the state of the COVID-19 pandemic and will implement all precautions necessary to ensure a safe in-person meeting experience for all. We will continue to follow federal, state and local city regulations for any further changes and make updates to this Policy when additional information becomes available. These items are subject to change at any time.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Participation in Conference events and activities carries some risk, and by attending, Attendees assume responsibility for their own well-being. All Attendees must follow posted instructions while participating in Conference events and activities. Failure to follow all protocols in effect and required by GRIN2B Foundation, the venue provider, and governing authorities during the Conference may result in registration cancellation without refund.

Will your children be participating in activities in the Children's room?

Childcare Information: Due to liability reasons, we are unable to provide drop-off childcare. We will have a separate room, near the conference room at the hotel for caregivers and children to meet up in. Children will need to be accompanied by their childcare provider at all times. Please note that for many of the conference sessions, it will not be appropriate for children to be present, though there will be select sessions where children will be allowed. We will have volunteers in the Children's room to assist with activities.
